__GOLNOR__; The driver of sustainable lighting of the country in the path of production, environment and new energies
The Director General of the Isfahan Province Environmental Protection Administration visited Golnoor Company, touring its production lines, technical capabilities, and achievements in the lighting sector.
During the visit, in addition to learning about Golnoor's extensive capacities across the design, production, and implementation chain for modern lighting systems, constructive talks were held on areas of cooperation with an approach to environmental protection and sustainable development.
According to Golnoor Club media, during the visit, Engineer Mohammad Amini, CEO of Golnoor Company, referring to the 35-year history of this group in the country's lighting industry, stated: "Today Golnoor, relying on domestic technical knowledge, employs about one thousand direct and more than two thousand indirect personnel in its production and services cycle, and over the past two to three years has continuously prioritized exporting its products." He added: "Targeted planning for presence in regional markets and CIS countries is among Golnoor's strategic priorities."
The Golnoor CEO noted that more than 300 of the company's employees hold bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, and pointed to serious challenges facing production: "Inflation and structural problems of the economy, like other industries, have made production conditions at Golnoor fragile and vulnerable, and overcoming this situation requires strong will and effective decision-making at the highest levels of the country."
Then Golalizadeh, Director General of the Isfahan Province Environmental Protection Administration, endorsing these remarks, said: "Conditions are moving in such a way that many producers are fighting for survival, and this reality doubles the need for targeted support for responsible, environmentally friendly industries."
Engineer Amini also pointed to Golnoor's national initiatives in energy consumption optimization: "Under the national project to replace high-consumption lamps, more than 12 million old high-consumption lamps have been replaced across the country, saving more than 800 megawatts of energy; a project in which Golnoor has played a central role as the sole manufacturer and investor."
He added: "Based on the assignment of the project by Tavanir Company, more than 800,000 high-consumption gas streetlights will be replaced with LED lamps of 20 to 120 watts and high luminous efficacy, and the full implementation of this will lead to a 75 percent reduction in electricity consumption in the country's urban lighting."
The Golnoor CEO emphasized localization of production: "About 85 percent of the components and equipment of lighting lamps are produced within Golnoor. Although replacing worn-out lamps is costly, the company's products are completely economical due to reduced energy consumption, increased luminous efficacy, improved safety, and reduced light pollution."
He also announced Golnoor's serious entry into renewable energy: "So far more than 100 megawatts of solar power plants have been installed by the company, and a 10-megawatt solar power plant is under construction with direct investment by Golnoor, which will play an effective role in reducing environmental pollutants."
During the visit, Engineer Chelongar, CEO of Golnoor Club, referring to the supra-industrial outlook of the group, said: "Golnoor considers the environment an inseparable part of its development strategy. From symbolic and practical support for the caracal animal to the use of stone paper in office correspondence, all are defined in line with reducing harm to nature and fulfilling social responsibility."
He added: "Golnoor's activities in sports, especially national championship basketball, have taken shape within this responsible approach, and today Golnoor is known not only as an industrial brand, but also as a group committed to sustainable development, job creation, and environmental protection."
The Golnoor CEO also reported on the company's knowledge-based activities in the production of explosion-proof lamps: "By localizing these advanced products, Golnoor has been able to meet the needs of the oil, gas, refining, petrochemical, and steel industries and play an effective role in saving foreign currency and reducing dependence on imported equipment."
