__GOLNOR__; From industrial lighting to keeping sports lights on
The Director General of Isfahan Province Sports and Youth Administration, accompanied by his deputies, paid a special visit to Golnoor Company, and while learning about the industrial capacities of this large group in the field of light and lighting, emphasized the importance of private-sector presence in developing sports, especially through Article 27. During this visit, the CEO of Golnoor Company and the CEO of Golnoor Club also explained the group's role in preserving and developing Isfahan basketball and called for strengthened support and effective use of legal capacities.
During the visit of the Director General of Isfahan Province Sports and Youth Administration and his entourage to Golnoor Company—the largest lighting products factory in the Middle East—guests first became acquainted with the company's capabilities, production lines, advanced laboratories, and international cooperation in the field of light and lighting. Golnoor holds a prominent position in the country's lighting industry thanks to its most advanced metal-structure workshops for producing lighting poles, laboratories accredited to national and international standards, and experience in implementing major lighting projects for sports venues.
During the visit, Engineer Mohammad Amini, CEO of Golnoor Company, referring to the unique role of the private sector in developing sports, said:
'In difficult economic conditions, the private sector's entry into sports reflects its responsibility and social commitment; unfortunately, however, no effective backing or support is provided by sports authorities. Golnoor entered sports in 1395 with the aim of nurturing grassroots basketball talents and, through perseverance, advanced from the First Division to the Premier League, and today, as Isfahan's representative, has kept the province's basketball flag flying for the second consecutive year.'
He expressed regret over the departure of the historic Zob Ahan club from basketball, adding:
'The removal of Zob Ahan with its brilliant history was a bitter event for the province's sports. We tried to keep Isfahan's basketball light from going out. Today, about 70 percent of Golnoor's Premier League roster is made up of Isfahan players, and this path has helped develop the province's talents. I hope this effort encourages the private sector to invest in sports with greater motivation.'
Engineer Amini also referred to Article 27 of the Annexation Law, calling it an important opportunity for private-sector participation:
'Transferring sports venues for construction, completion, repair, and maintenance to the private sector is a key opportunity. The Sports and Youth Administration can create a major transformation in the province's sports infrastructure through targeted management of this article.'
Then, the Director General of Isfahan Province Sports and Youth Administration also welcomed this view, calling Article 27 'the only solution for increasing the province's and the country's per capita sports space,' and said:
'Despite some challenges, Article 27 is the best and most practical way to save sports infrastructure. I am one of the managers who specifically pursue its implementation, and I hope the Administration's projects and lands can solve the shortage of per capita sports space.'
Referring to the Administration's ongoing activities, he stated:
'Currently, 16 projects related to Article 27 are on the agenda, and their total equals the entire per capita sports space of the country's 31 provinces; this shows the high capacity of this law and the importance of using it correctly.'
The Director General of Sports and Youth added in conclusion:
'Article 27 makes it possible to transfer unfinished complexes—which have been stalled for years due to lack of funding—to the private sector, and with their participation these projects can be completed and put into operation in the shortest possible time.'
Today's visit by the province's sports officials to the Golnoor industrial complex, in addition to introducing the capabilities of this leading company, once again highlighted the vital role of the private sector in sustaining sports and developing sports infrastructure. The synergy of industry and sports—especially through the implementation of Article 27—can smooth the path of Isfahan sports and create a bright outlook for the new generation of athletes in this land.
